Modest hero Pat Richards expressed his relief after equalling Andy Farrell's Engage Super League record for points in a season in Wigan's 34-12 victory over Bradford. The goalkicking winger had a rare off day with the boot, succeeding with just three of his seven attempts, but grabbed two tries to take his tally for the season to 29 and reach the 14 points he needed to match the record of 388 set by the former Wigan captain in 2001. Richards struck the woodwork with one of his four misses and thought he had converted Darrell Goulding's second try to set a new record.
