The cherry and whites completed their regular season with a convincing 34-12 win over the Bradford Bulls at the DW Stadium on Friday night. It was a special evening as the players received the 2010 League Leaders Shield after the game, the first silverware since 2002 and the first time since 2000 Wigan had finished top of the table at the end of the season. It was also a special night for winger Pat Richards who grabbed 14 points to equal the Super League points scored in the regular season of 388 which Andy Farrell set in 2001. Richards did though beat the Club record of tries scored in the regular season as he grabbed a try to take his tally to 28 in the Super League. A record held by Kris Radlinski since 2001. We started the season well in the big games, beating wire and saints as well as Hull fc who started the year good and strong. Just the latter half of the year when we lost to wire and saints that we have slipped up but the scores didn't run away form... [more]
