A rare, interesting article that. Good insight.

19th man
We'll have to be 19s in the crowd as it seems like it's going to be more likely that the 18th man will be on the pitch in any given game. Overall I think most of this is sensible and a good reaction to the ways the players were trying to exploit the rules last season. The 18th man stuff seems a reas...

Re: Super League set for major six again and play the ball rule changes
The heal thing might give a load of offside penalties for the first few weeks. The defence is well used to moving up the moment the tackled player looks like their starting to play the ball. I thought it was always once they'd touched it with there foot TBH.

Re: Wigan’s 2024 Fixtures
I'm just not sure why people are so angry about the fixture list. We play the same number of home and away games as everyone else and we have a great home run-in to gain momentum for the playoffs - which we know is the the most important time of the year. We have a nice intense start to the year and...

Re: Have the RFL missed a trick? Assessing what the fixtures tell us about the new TV deal
This article is completely flawed. It was never stated that every game would broadcast on sky sports channels. Lots of people just made the incorrect assumption which leads to articles like. Did anyone seriously think it meant every game live on sky sports? Surely not? Why would sky do that? Why wo...

Re: Opening fixtures 2024
If I'm reading things correctly 10 of our first 14 fixtures are away from home. What a way to get the crowds for the champions flooding in and will mean that most of our home fixtures will be during the main holiday season!! I know that we are always affected by the pitch maintenance issue but this...

It dilutes the games two show piece finals.EDINBURGH-WARRIOR wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 6:16 pm I honestly can't recall where I read it but it was made quite clear by IMG that in the effort to reduce the number of games Magic was more than likely to be a casualty . That's the way I read it if wrong I stand corrected.

Re: Super League Magic Weekend relocated with Elland Road to replace St James' Park
Return to the Etihad would have been better. Same football issues. No premeir league team is going to let you play on their pitch within a week of them playing. I would imagine that Old Trafford may not be available for the GF once our contract expires and their ownership changes (no idea what the ...

Re: Magic Weekend 2024 confirmed
Bit out in the middle of nowhere isn't it Elland Road? And its not really exposing the game to new markets is it?

Re: Any more to come?
Plus, don't forget this year we start with the Man of Steel winning best stand-off in the competition. Last year we had no-one. Don't underestimate the influence of a settled half-back pairing and basically a returning back line (minus one player). The pack has more strength in depth than last year....
