Re: SALARY CAP

I understand what the CAP was intended to do, i.e. save clubs from going bust. The problem with it now is clubs can get away with not growing there brand and still compete, thats because they still can spend similar amounts (i realise some spend more than others, but not by much i think). Basically...

Re: SALARY CAP

I dont want to lose any, doesnt mean I have faith in them....I wouldnt shed a tear for a good few, there are teams in the championship ie York who are doing a better job than a good few SL teams in terms of stadium upgrades and youth development, give them tv money and they could really take off So...

Re: Australia to wear bizarre squad numbers in Rugby League World Cup

Isn't it longest serving? So not caps, but when your first cap was? I'm not sure about that though. Seems weird, but hey, its not massively important to me, they can do what they like within the rules laid out.

Re: Agent believes change to marquee player rule could help Super League allowing likes of Warrington Wolves to sign sta

As Dave says its a ...

Re: SALARY CAP

or it would make people put more in or potentially attract people, Its a pretty harsh criticism of almost everyone in the game, that they simply aren't trying hard enough, and have never tried hard enough to be more successful. If you truly believe that, you can't have much hope for the sport. I do...

Re: Bateman

RE cap, if every team had to spend a minimum of 90% it would bring bottom teams up, as it is it brings top teams down. Force clubs to spend money they don’t have? all clubs should have money to spend up to the cap - or should have done prior to the new TV deal Sky basically paid the equivalent of 2...

How do we improve the product then? The game is going backwards. Pool all income into a central fund and reallocate - treat the game as one business, not a set of competing businesses trying to put one another out of business. Licencing is one step towards this, the next step is a pooled merchanisi...
