Re: Warriors to face Sheffield in Challenge Cup

Sounded like a good professional performance, apart from the first try we conceded.

Job done.

Re: Salford take-over completed

What on earth has a Swiss banker got to do with RL? Who's really bought the club - it is in Salford after all?

Re: Warriors to face Sheffield in Challenge Cup

How to Follow Please note tomorrow’s cup tie will not be televised. Listen Live Listen to free audio commentary of Sheffield Eagles v Wigan Warriors from 7:20p...

Re: Why the RFL’s Challenge Cup revamp has backfired spectacularly

Would they though Mike, I am not sure. I am not sure how the finances are split for things like cup games but the running costs at a SL club would be far greater than at an amateur club and would cut deep into the added attendance. "If a ref awards a try, it's subsequently checked. One minute later the ref makes an error in awarding a try, we need a facility to rewind the clocks because you've lost time from the game and we struggled to find a solution to that. You need to be able to show the time in the stadium and what...

Re: London Broncos close in on takeover with club's future finally secure

How can a club in London having to pay London salaries thrive on a salary cap of £2.1m? Wigan manage the SC with all sorts of exemptions so a successful London based club has no chance. All club personnel have to live, pay rent/mortgage and the costs in London are massively more than the North of E...

You just said they could never have that anyway. This way they get a much larger chance to have a financial windfall. What's bad about that?
