Re: Optimism

I started this thread and it has created a lot of discussion. I said at the start that every fan has the right to voice an opinion. I have also said that certain players seem to receive a lot of unqualified “stick” which goes beyond criticism. I am not going to give any examples as readers have the ...

Re: Optimism

To blindside prop. I m quite convinced that Skerret would willingly change his style to accommodate today’s rulings. More seriously. We are all keen to see Wigan return as a dominant force. However it will take time. I think a lot of frustration from fans is because Wigan have been knocking on the d...

Re: Optimism

Point taken about voicing opinion. I said that at the start. I will criticise the play. It is full on all over the field with often no variation. There is no one slowing the game down. However personally I think that there is more spirit than last year. We have to give the team time to develop. We h...

Optimism

First of all every fan has the right to express their opinion. On reading through posts there are negative comments about the team and against some players in particular from some individuals. A team needs to develop. Success doesn’t come overnight. Yes Wigan could do with a couple of “enforcers” to...

Re: Wigan Warriors and Wigan Athletic close to agreement over DW Stadium

To no straw damn us ….I agree. If you watch some you tube videos of Central Park I am surprised at how small some crowds were. But there were many atmospheric 20 k plus ones. There are some showing Boston playing in front of small Saturday afternoon crowds. I can only assume that gate receipts didn’...

Yes I m reminiscing. Full house at Central Park. Sun lighting up the bank of spectators on the Spion Kop corner.
No point looking back too much but they’re good memories.

Re: Wigan Warriors and Wigan Athletic close to agreement over DW Stadium

A personal point of view. There is talk on here of the state of the stadium. I am not bothered about sitting down in comparative luxury. I would sooner be standing on the terrace at Central Park. To me watching rugby is about being outside in the elements. Some will not agree or understand this but ...

Re: JJB

Channel 4s coverage was refreshing. No heavy statistical analysis, no negativity. Enjoyed doing their job
