Re: Bill Ashurst
A great player in every sense. There have been threads on here for us to name our all time best Wigan 13. Bill Ashurst has been on my list and will be as I believe it his rightful place. If he played now he would be the best 2nd row in the game and by a mile! There isn't a back rower in today's gam...

Re: Your opinion on past players
I thought Henry Paul's drop-out from under the posts was into a serious wind which blew the ball back to around the 20 metre line. Henry then grabbed it and waltzed through some paper-thin tackling to score a try that I've never seen the like of. Sonny Nickle didn't have a clue what was going on, O...

Re: Who knows best?
IMHO, if we want to be a big prize team again then we need top quality in the spine positions of 1, 6, 7, 9 and 13. At the moment the most lacking is 9 and 13 - Field fits the bill, Cust is maybe the answer and we have two good options at 7. Powell has more of the qualities of a loose forward eg. D...

Re: WHAT WE NEED TO DO TO WIN AGAINST SNAKES
That's an easy question. Just score more points. Simple! Now if asked "how?" I'd say leave that to Briers and Peet not the wannabe coaches on this forum! ![😀](//cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@latest/assets/svg/1f600.svg)
