Re: Bevan French

I ment to say French could be here early not Green Yes just what Wigan need..not a prop forward or two oh no not Wigan I disparity at the running of Wigan at times Really? Since IL came in he turned us from relegation candidates to serial grand finalists, champions and world champions but you despa...

Re: Remember when...

Care to take a look at our respective records over the last decade? We have been far more successful than Saints. Occasionally, teams get lucky with overseas players, and players emerging out of nowhere, but if you swapped an excellent coach in Holbrook with an out of his depth one like Lam then we...

Well Saints have managed it. Why is that?

Re: What we’ve learned about each club’s 2020 recruitment following overseas quota list reveal

We have recruited Clark from Cas, Hastings from Salford and massive rumours Bevan French has signed from the Eels. There are also suggestions that Ben Matolino and Elijah Taylor have signed. So that's a back, half back, two props and a loose. Whether they have all signed remains to be seen but we s...

Re: What we’ve learned about each club’s 2020 recruitment following overseas quota list reveal

Does "Hamlin is still attached to the club" mean we are still paying his salary? I hope not. When will this damned saga ever end. What are the anti-doping people playing at? Do they only work one day a week? I have been wondering the same thing. He must have failed the test to be suspended so unles...

Re: Saints v WIGAN

Not a lot to say about last night's performance only to say i went full of optimism only to see what I was expecting a side seriously lacking in all departments i was hoping pivitol players would step up although for these derdys this should be a must but have to say saw a team with no spine after ...

Re: Reality check

There appears to be absolutely NO long term planning or recruitment. Seems like someone has said just keep promoting the juniors and snag an overseas player available from a rival UK team and we will be fine ala Clark from Cas who proves this is going on This is certainly my view of how the club is...

Re: What we’ve learned about each club’s 2020 recruitment following overseas quota list reveal

Scouting isn’t just about watching the games. It’s about knowing who is available, whether a player is open to a move to the UK and so on. In any case I presume the likes of Rads have better things to do than watch every game of NRL. The function of a scout is to bring players to the attention of th...

Re: Tony Smith issues warning over Hull KR recruitment as he hits out at Super League structure

Smith makes a good point. What amazes me is that given SL is a full time professional league is that relegation can result in players contracts being cancelled or them having to take a big pay cut or go part time. It’s a short career as it is and is for me one that does not pay well for most players...

Re: Reality check

The problem has been brewing for a while. The fact we end up with a young front row facing Saints isn’t just bad luck. The fact the IL and Rads think it is a good idea to extend Clubb’s contract shows you the extent of the problem. In a previous era he’d have been moved on at his age given what he o...
