Re: Jackson Hastings ???

Not sure how much truth there is in this but heard through a Salford fan who has links to a lot of the players that there is a rumour going round linking Hastings with NZ Warriors sooner rather than later... Hoping it's all nonsense but apparently he can just walk out of his contract whenever? Seem...

Re: George Williams v Jacob Trueman

Think you are being a bit selective. Trueman is a lot less experienced. He's played about 60 games for Cas whereas Williams has 180 for us. He's also four years younger than Williams at 20. That said I agree we will miss Williams. I think what sees Williams criticised is one minute he'd brilliant an...

Re: In the zone

I know we have long term absentee Manfredi but we also have what amounts to a full strength squad going into the playoffs.

Re: Quick Poll: Final League Position???

Well 2nd it is :)

If you told me that was on the cards earlier in the season I'd have never believed it.

Re: Wigan Warriors v Castleford

It’s ridiculous. This is what I was on about in the £1.4m loss thread. I first saw this mentioned as a fixture change on Facebook and it was people coming from Doncaster who had booked rail tickets in advance for the Friday game complaining they were out of pocket big time. I know travelling fans (...

Re: Why Wigan Warriors lost £1.4m last year

If Wigan RLFC, the biggest name in rugby league, lose money in this salary capped (and very low salary cap at that) era, then there are 2 possible reasons: 1. Complete mismanagement. 2. RL in this country is no longer viable. Depends what you mean by viable I suppose. I have never believed the game...

Re: Why we will be worse off through Brexit (Question from other forum)

Just a small point but a significant one if only to point out to Dave O his total lack of understanding the concept of "Soereignty". He points out that in our quest for trade deals we will necessarily give up some of our sovereignty. Nothing could be further from the truth. The very fact that it wi...

Re: Why Wigan Warriors lost £1.4m last year

The doom and gloom-mongers have the opposite effect and therefore are part of the problem, it seems to me. I rarely go to a home game without being near to someone who's moaning all game. That is nothing new. When Andy Farrell was playing at the height of his powers and winning us games by last sec...

Re: Why Wigan Warriors lost £1.4m last year

Surely being a rich owner means spending cash... like Man City... or else we’d have Betty from the Chippy running the Club wouldn’t we. I’ve always argued there is no money to be made by ownership of an RL club. I know breaking even is a nice aim to have but I don’t think it’s feasible. Saints who ...
