Re: Why we will be worse off through Brexit (Question from other forum)

Just look it up. Ok. Another bad decision. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-48177767 To invest in foreign currencies? Re: Wigan sign Broncos youngster

Im guessing the logic here is Samy Kibula was ready for a first team shot/wages but we loaded up on Burgess and Clarke this is essentially a reset on that player meaning we can pay little again and when he is developed 2-3 years there may be space for him in the first team if so no problems with th...

Re: Tonga beat the Kangaroos last week... so the government made it a public holiday to celebrate

Not RL but quite a few years ago I was lucky enough to visit Fiji and we arrived on the same plane carrying the Fiji 7's RU team who had just won the Hong Kong 7's. You'd have thought they has won the world cup! The airport was mobbed and the team took something like a week to make the trip from the...

Re: Wigan winger Davies linked with Catalans

Both Budgie and Davies were under contract and by the looks of it only Davies asked for a move so while people might like Budgie to have be the one leaving there doesn't seem to be much the club could have done about it other than refused Davies request. You also have to remember the club is a bit s...

Re: Toronto boss Brian Noble wants debate about lifting cap structure

The trouble with clubs being allowed to spend what they like is I don't think it's sustainable. What will happen to Toronto if their chairman walks away? Of the current clubs I think only Warrington have an owner who might like to, but more to the point can afford to, spend significantly more than t...

Re: Premium: RFL propose scrapping 19-man squads… and go to 21 instead

I can't say I think that is a good idea. You will get 21 players named and the fans will have no clue if they are going to see their star players run out or them be replaced by three or four squad players. This all stems from the RFL being unable to enforce the rule a team should always play its str...

Toronto boss Brian Noble wants debate about lifting cap structure

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/50319010 In 2020, clubs will be allowed to spend £2.1m on player salaries, although there are certain incentive 'offsets' such as the marquee player rule. "[Lifting the cap] would help for everybody's shopping lists," he said. "It's not carefree abandoning o...

Why we will be worse off through Brexit (Question from other forum)

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-50296672 Oh look more reason why we should vote Tories [emoji6] Silly policy anyway. Don't interfere with the market and it will find it's own level. e.g. if houses are not affordable for lower paid workers, they will move out of the area. Those left will either ...
