Re: Wigan Warriors coach makes World Club Challenge admission

I think we could fill the Etihad for it. There must have been 40,000 of us there on Saturday.

I agree. I keep thinking that he will suddenly unlock his talent, and have a glorious end to his career,

Re: Morgan Smithies set for NRL move as Wigan Warriors forward heads down under

I think he’s to small to sustain a successful career in the NRL for long. As I think we are seeing with Bateman, who is another who plays above his weight. A player like Farrell (or Field in the backs) can thrive year after year here because the general size of players and speed of the game is slowe...

Re: 2024

Still basking in the new chapter of our glorious history that the team wrote on Saturday, but thinking about 2024, I would be interested in people’s insights into who might emerge next year. I am assuming that are veterans Powell and Isa will join KPP, Cust and King in exiting. Plus, I guess, Thornl...

Re: Wigan squad for Grand Final

I rate Havard massively, and recall that he has come back seamlessly from injury. I would pick him ahead of one of Isa, Powell or Hill (in that order) from last week’s 17. We can travel with considerable hope!

Re: Well done boys

Proud of the lads today. They had a job to do, and were on it from minute 1. We look like a balanced team, able to play traditional rugby league: dominate the opposition up front, post impact metres and free up the backs with more space and time. Waneball was effective at times, but I much prefer th...

Re: Wigan squad for Semi-Final

My team to take us to Old Trafford…
Field - Miski - King - Wardle - Marshall - French - Smith
Ellis - O’Neill - Dupree - Farrell - KPP - Smithies
Hill - Mago - Isa - Nsemba
That said, in Peet I trust.

I am soooo excited by this. He is a world class signing.
It goes to show that having a billionaire owner will make a massive difference!
Hats off to the club for their ambition.

Re: Matt Peet on potential returnee, HKR’s Brad Schneider & message to Wigan Warriors Fans ahead of SL semi final

We should be able to win this with or without Isa. There are 3 risks - whether he disrupts the defensive line, his fitness and his discipline. I think it wouldn’t be insane to take those risks, if that’s Marty’s judgement. It would not be a mad decision, nor would not playing him at all. Plus if he ...
