Re: WCC and RFL

I don’t think it is an RFL match. I think the clubs arrange it. Which makes it v important to get a big crowd and full hospitality.

Re: Wigan v Leeds

One of the many good things for mine was that the defence was the main problem. As we know that that can be fixed. These players have shown time and time again they know what’s required. It is also worth bearing in mind that this was the match immediately before the world club challenge, and so they...

Re: Wigan v Leeds

I enjoyed that, and really like how we are shaping up. Hardaker and Bullock are great signings. It is great to have pace from the back and a classy strong running big lad. My only slight frustrations so far have been Sammutt’s needless ban, and Manfredi’s knee injury. It will be interesting to see w...

Re: widdup

There is no evidence for Wigan under spending. In fact, anyone can simply check the accounts. The key advantage we will always have over Warrington is that we produce the Smithies and Smiths of the game, through our junior investment which matters far more than gambles on imported players. The teams...

What puzzles me is why they didn’t put up a picture of Melbourne Storm instead, as they are the world champions...

Re: Powell, Woods and Harry Smith sign deals with Wigan

Am thrilled that we are investing again in our young talent. Tbh, I would rather see Woods and Smith develop into world class players for us than any big name overseas signings. Smith looked to be a real talent against the Aussie school boys (as did Harvard and Smithies).

<t>Yeah, you never see Billy Slater, TVS or Tedesco run the ball. By all means argue that he could kick, point and pass well, but how anyone watching the game at the top level could conclude that good full backs don’t run the ball beggars belief. Though if Sam’s dad posts on here, I can understand t...

Re: Sammut signs

<t>Have just watched the England Academy beat the Australian schoolboys. Harry Smith is a real talent. If Sammut helps him develop, we will spoilt for choice in the halves pretty. In any case, Sammut is exactly what we need - he gives us a threat on the right close to the line, and can kick goals. A...
