Re: Wigan squad for Catalans (R10)

Incidentally, as this was the game closest to her 100th, our auntie was in hospitality. We had contacted the Dragons separately, and she was treated to an evening for the ages. Bernard Guasch came over and presented her with a signed shirt, she was given a signed Wigan top, and lots of the players s...

Re: Wigan squad for Catalans (R10)

Bell and Connolly were prior to Renouf joining. I accept we didn’t see him at his peak, but he was still class. I thought carefully about this, and in particular how Wardle compares to Gleeson, and I think he is marginally better. This is because he has absolutely every skill a good centre needs, an...

Re: Wigan squad for Catalans (R10)

Superb second half. A lot to like. I think Wardle is superb. Someone above suggested the best centre since Carmont. With respect to that fine player, Wardle is a class above. I would say the best centre we have had since Renouf.

Re: Wigan squad for Hull KR (R9)

I expect we will be more focussed from minute 1, and for our combinations to be much better. HKR is a very difficult place to go, especially in this era when they have packed crowds every week, and I think we will respond well to the more highly charged atmosphere. They come into this off the back o...

Re: Wigan squad for Hull KR (R9)

Very happy indeed to see Ethan’s name there. Hope he is now 100%. Having had hamstring issues myself for years, he has my sympathy, but I assume there are loads of strength building exercises and stretch regimes he can do to mitigate the risk. Everything crossed he gets a good run of games and we se...

Re: Squad v Castleford

I think the cup game gave us fans a false impression. Once the game was gone there they had nothing to play for. They have been far more competitive in the league and even beat Salford in their previous game. A combination of them not being that bad and wholesale changes to the spine gave us what we...

Was hoping to see Havard’s name there, but good to see Cooper back.

Sorry - have I got this right? Our women play at Saints and our men at Doncaster? Are they mad?

They are tough to play against, but they are the most predictable of the 3 opponents. And we have the ultimate motivation from last year,

Re: Peet previews Cup Quarter-Final

Thanks, mate. I wonder whether Havard’s injury issues may lead to his extending his contract with us, or whether we are simply getting him fit for some NRL club.
