Re: Wigan Warriors: The incredible stats behind Challenge Cup semi-final triumph to reach Wembley
Is it this season that the limited minutes per player is in force or have I just dreamt that bit and I can't remember if challenge cup games were included or not. It's great Thompson doing the full 80 but if there are limitations, and it was the forwards that had the biggest limitation, then doing ...

Re: KRWillie Peters calls for “clarification” on laws as Hull KR are dumped from Challenge Cup
the problem we've got as a game now is that we are following (very slowly) football too many players going to ground too easily / milking a penalty and also too many players with their arms in the air constantly to the ref whether it be for a marginal high shot or slow POTB on Saturday their kick ch...

was my MOTM. To play the full 80 and be active all the way through the game in attack and defence in those conditions on Saturday takes some enginejosie andrews wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 11:37 pm A lot of credit to Luke Thompson who played the full 80 minutes

Re: Wigan squad for Hull KR (Semi-Final)
totally outclassed KR in the 1st half, Completely dominant, and hence you usually get a bit of the rub of the green. KR players should learn to stay on their feet when chasing, as it was embarrassing watching them fall to the ground at the slightest of touches of a wigan player BBC coverage was poor...

Re: Walters on the bench
Junior was immense today but for me Luke Thompson was the best player on the field. By an absolute mile 80 minutes in that heat and intensity - just shows the reason we've signed him. Tackled everything that ran at him and took the ball in strong for the full 80 if we can get him and Havard playing...

Re: Wigan squad for Hull KR (Semi-Final)
one thing i've just noticed as i looked at the current 2024 stats (was posting about the albert goldthorpe) is that KR have 4 of the top 20 tacklers in their team (Batchelor, Litten, Minchella and Whitbread), so we are going to have to work damned hard to break them down and come out on top in this ...

Re: Albert Goldthorpe Medal Standings after 11 rounds of Super League
salford whitewash at this rate :) Yes, he's a good player, but i posted recently in another thread that there's a reason he never got a gig at Wigan, Saints, Leeds, Wire, and thats because he's as his level at Salford / Hull. However, looking at his overall stats 1 try and 10 assists, even Jack Wels...

Re: Wigan squad for Hull KR (Semi-Final)
1- 7 picks itself Havard O'Neill Thompson Faz Junior Ellis Dupree Hill Mago Leeming semi final isnt the game to put Walters in (unless he's had lots of time training with the 1st team) and i think i'd personally go Hill over Cooper on basis he's faster / more mobile and hasnt taken a backwards step...

Re: 'Relegate bottom team' Leigh Leopards owner Derek Beaumont's Hull FC dig and Toulouse promoted reveal
from what i recall of the initial IMG stuff, there would be a period of exemption from relegation but equally clubs cant rest on their laurels for too many years Wakey and Cas have done f*** all about their grounds, and only now because they've been told that they may not be in SL, have they done an...
