Re: Matt Peet gives food for thought to critics of Wigan Warriors' young forwards

Being fair to the young lads, even the most pessimistic fans on here cut them some slack. Yes they got criticised but i dont recall anyone being OTT The biggest issue IMO last year was Lam's stubborness to keep playing them week in week out, when it appeared that we had senior props available. We we...

Re: Shirt Sponsor / IQONIQ

the IQONIQ website is still a who's who of the sporting world and you can still sign up for when the App is ready to launch - pretty sure that was the case when we 1st signed the sponsorship From a club perspective as long as IQONIQ paid what they said there were going to pay for the sponsorship, no...

Re: Challenge Cup 2022: Orrell St James v British Army kicks off BBC live stream coverage

just watched the game on BBC iplayer and really enjoyed it some good skill on show from both sides and a good hard game of RL. Got to be honest surprised by the pace of the game, which, whilst not as fast as super league, was a good advert for amateur rugby league (referring to the other thread abou...

Re: And you think RL is struggling . . . ?

You’ll never beat unions international game Would take a few years to take off but could we not revive the Lancashire -Yorkshire games back with a third team from other nationalities . unfortunately Lancs v Yorks has never worked in this country. If it was state of origin like, then i am sure all f...

Re: Teams with Covid will have to forfeit games in 2022

It'll be sods law that we have an outbreak this season. We have done really well in fulfilling our fixtures over the last 2 seasons, whilst others have played the Covid Card to give players a rest The one thing it will do is make sure everyone is treated equally as there has been disparity in how te...

Re: The reserves..good idea?

I’ve always been a supporter of the rs]ever e grade it gets players game time and allows them, hopefully if used right a way back from injury instead of being thrown back in so speaking for myself I would love to see it back and thriving but still questions remain are there enough player s to run th...

Re: Australian journalists slam St Helens as ‘scared’ following World Club Challenge latest

All that said, the WCC is a shambles, though. In a sane world, it would be properly funded, and alternate between Europe and Down Under year by year. and i would also hold it after the season finishes, instead of a glorified pre-season game, but that would again mean that the Ozzies taking it serio...

Re: The uncomfortable truths for rugby league clubs and their unvaccinated players

Yet the main problem is that those who are deciding to remain unvaccinated are causing difficult challenges for the clubs that employ them. At two different Super League clubs, there are cases where an unvaccinated player has accumulated over 50 missed days of training and fixtures due to track and...

Re: Wigan Warriors contracts: When every deal runs out

In this case, I can see why it feels like Groundhog Day, as the thread is very like one we had a short while ago, where I thought the list differed - for instance, we could have let Partington go at the end of the year on the previous thread. Powell’s name comes up over and over because, for many o...
