Re: Kris Radlinski delivers unique insight into club’s salary cap planning, including marquee players

Have to agree that the cap should be linked to inflation bizarre that’s it’s not really its virtually criminal that they can let professional rugby players take a pay cut year on year (for every year the cap has been frozen). What other sport, let alone profession would allow that. Its only been si...

Re: Kris Radlinski delivers unique insight into club’s salary cap planning, including marquee players

thats an interesting interpretation of the cap rules as we arent using the club trained option. If the article is correct as that part isnt Rads words and its factually incorrect as Thompson cannot be home grown but is Federation trained (trained by Saints) so will cost us £100k ont cap so our cap h...

Re: Wigan squad for Hull KR (R9)

I’d like to see Field just keep things really simple this week and sniff around the ball carriers to try and take any offloads or follow up breaks/half breaks. We made a few on Friday and we had guys like Faz backing up but there was no sign of Field. His biggest attribute for me in his time here h...

Re: Wigan squad for Hull KR (R9)

It was notable to me how many problems their offloads caused us, and how little we offload. I'm not sure we had one from the forwards all match this week. one very lucky one from Mago early in the 2nd half. Passed it through his legs to Leeming who got away with a knock on but in general we really ...

Re: Wigan squad for Hull KR (R9)

i've just watched 2nd half on my dinner, a definite improvement on 1st half but still i reckon we only got to somewhere near 65-70% of where we should be Field looked far more dangerous running with the ball, and looks like thought we'd get some joy out of their right side defence with most of our s...

Re: Wigan squad for Hull KR (R9)

Just to add https://www.superleague.co.uk/match-centre/report/4433 There is hope  Look at the live stats tab. those stats shocked me, although we all know stats are the be all and end all it doesnt measure who ran the ball in harder, whos defensive line was up quicker and with more intensity, ...

Re: Wigan squad for Hull KR (R9)

the 1st half is as poor as i've seen for a while HKR ran harder, tackled harder and seemed to want it more. We just didnt seem to have anything effort wise I dont recall Faz being run over like the 1st try last night in the last 14 years and again when they broke for the 3rd try. Too many easy offlo...

Re: Stains v Hudds

i only watched the 1st half Saints were p*** poor and a lucky (well timed) interception got them on the score board. If Makinson missed, it was probably 18-0 at that point. Defensively the were fast up, and Hudds struggled unless they moved it to their left (and missed Bibby out - had an absolute ma...
