About Riversiders

<t>Hi Paul.

1. "What is involved" is simply the opportunity to come along to monthly meetings, talk to players and staff of the club, hopefully find out news and gossip first-hand and meet up with fellow Wigan RL fans.

We also arrange coaches to matches (at lower cost than the ...

Thanks for the re-iteration.....

<t>of EVERYTHING that us fans have been saying to this club of ours for a LONG time.

They fail to promote it at ANY opportunity, yet whinge when not enough people turn up on match-day.

We don't have a marketing dept (sorry to mention it AGAIN !!!). We DID have one (one girl, wh...

"Fatty" Craig Smith

<t>If you watch Craig Smith and Terry O on TOP form (ie When Smith is NOT carrying an ankle injury), you will see 2 of the hardest working props in the game.

Add to that Smiths' ability to offload the ball, and if you can get team-mates to follow-up in a 2nd phase of attack, you will see ...

Sorry John

<t>If I came across as having a go. I didn't mean to.

I know what you mean about the new fans and glory-hunters, but like I said - If we have to have a season where these fans stay away in order to show that these kids ARE superstars, then so be it.

I think that all of us on he...

A dying team .......... Yeah, right.

<t>Could this be the same John whose last few posts that I've seen have been talking about NOTHING but our "eighteen year-old nobodies".

I agree with your sentiment on this one, though. We will be fine, both as a club in the long-run and as a team for this season.

These "nobodi...

"Championship Manager" type game......

<t>I have a copy of it.

It's called "Superleague Rugby Manager", and you're right - It IS pretty crappy.

However, if you REALLY want to ease the withdrawal symptoms, it serves SOMETHING of a purpose.

The downside to it is that there are no real graphics to speak of, ...

"Accidental" Knock-On Rule

<t>What does everyone else think about this rule change :

"The rules governing knock-ons will also be changed with players penalised only if they are judged to have intentionally played at the ball".

I for one have taken the p*ss out of RU for a while about not penalising...

Hello everyone - Glad to find you here

<t>Hi all.

Guess I'm a bit slow off the mark. It's taken me an AGE to get round to looking on Mikes board to find everyone.

Hope the web hosts get their fingers out soon and we can get the board back up.

Finally, as to Mr Super/Brain/whatever being a moderator - (!)<...
