Re: MAN OF THE MATCH
<t>I thought Higham had a great game yesterday - but then he does a lot of good stuff in most games for which he nevers gets praise because A) he came from St Helens ,and B) the other players aren't on his wavelength yet and often he has an offload available that he quite sensibly doesn't make becau...

Good lad, Stan! It's Aptil Fool's Day - why can't we be delusional if we want to be?

<t>Apparently Matty's on the new stem cell technology research programme and that's why he's fit to play again. It's like getting your youth back. That's why we can afford him - because the science research company behind it is paying for his contract on the understanmding they can use him in their ...

<r>Don't get distracted by the mention of "individual". Libel also applies where the defamatory statement is made about a (usually fairly small) group of easily identifiable people. So you could libel the Wigan team, for instance but probably not the whole rugby league-playing fraternity.<br/> <br/>...

Me too - I've always had a major optimism problem. I don't think we'll get relegated, either, and will not only make but do well in the play-offs. Only time will tell, of course.

Re: Eamon O'Carrol??????
I've seen him play a few times in the Academy and he looks a big, promising lad. He's too young for the first team yet, really, especially playing in the forwards, but on a one-off basis I'm sure his enthusiasm and good basic size will carry him through. Good luck to the lad.

<t>Good, competent players who are willing to work hard - like Jonkers and Wilkes - are just the tivcket at the moment. As has been said, we've had plenty of those over the years, even in the all-conquering squads of the late 80s & early 90s.<br/> <br/> You could be right Dave - if these two com...

Re: he has to go
Could I just correct Jinkin Jimmy? Danny Orr did NOT pass to no one. He passed to Stuart Wilkinson, the water-carrier.
Just thought I'd clear that up.
P.S. Sack Millward? Don't be so daft. He's the one who will get us out of this mess.
