Re: Changing of the guard

I think with union the disparity in role has helped it as a game. Props are still Props and backs are still backs in that game and while in their respective areas they have improved fitness they have distinct job roles that haven't changed so the game feels like it has a more organic flow to it and ...

Re: Changing of the guard

In 1996 Wigan RL played Bath RU in a couple of matches. Whilst, somewhat predictably, Wigan won the RL game and Bath came out on top in RU, it was generally accepted that in the traits that were common between the two codes- running, passing, lines of attack and general skill levels, RL was light y...

Re: LOckers

It’s time messrs Radlinski & Leneghan did the same thing at Wigan and make the decision for him. “Shaun you’ve had a fantastic playing career, but now it’s time to move into the coaching role that we’ve promised you” Personally i think he should hang up his boot and as for coaching - he should have...

Re: Versus Salford

Don't agree with the fitness levels which I think have been as good as Bitcon's days. Our fatigue in the play off games was due to us being three props short from half the season gone. Bullock hasn't played since June then Hamlin and Tautai went due to disciplinary reasons. Although Partington, Byr...

Re: Versus Salford

For what it's worth, here is my take on the last 2 matches and the season in general. Difficult first half of the season but then we improved ending at 2nd. I think that flattered us and realistically we should have been 5th or 6th if the likes of Wire, Cas and Hull had performed. So our expectatio...

Re: Sam Powell

So predictable and tiresome that Sam Powell is the whipping boy of this forum. Some posters have an agenda against Sam regardless of the performances he puts in. Wigan have a bad game, blame Powell. He should be admired that he is prepared to play through the pain for the team. When we were poor at...

If they do get promoted will the Salary Cap not apply to them?
