Re: No Passion = No wins

<t>To be honest, I can not thing of many in the normal first 17 for Wigan who are not decent players in their own right, or who weren't at some previous time.<br/> <br/> Few of the team are currently playing well, but of the REALLY weak links - Richards, DV, Orr, Moran, Brown, Tickle, Hansen - none ...

Re: Musical Chairs

Be fair, LO. People have responded to your points mainly politely and with reasoned argument.

Re: No Passion = No wins

<t>It sounds good, but how do you do it in the time now remaining to us? <br/> <br/> At present, the best we can hope for is that the team pulls together under Millward's guidance, and even if it doesn't play with pride in the shirt, at least puts on a professional enough show to win all the 'winnab...

Re: Musical Chairs

<t>They surely can't have earned £30 million a season before this season (which still has a third to run, so it's quite an assumption even then). In pre-Premiership days, their attendances were terrible and all we ever heard about was how much in debt they were in.<br/> <br/> In any case, as someone...

Re: Musical Chairs

<t>I agree. But I know it's always been a source of irritation to Whelan that the two sets of fans appear to hate each other. There are lots of reasons why this has come about, and both groups are equally culpable. Nothing would induce me to go and watch Latics, because nothing would induce me to go...

Re: Musical Chairs

Maybe part of the intention is to start trying to unify the town's sports fans. There really shouldn't be such a massive gulf between the two clubs' supporters.

Re: Musical Chairs

Allegedly he already goes to a lot of Latics matches. Have you guys not noticed?

Re: Maybe a Protest

<t>As a true fan I think you're entitled to express irritation at your club. Support is a two-way street. Think of all the time, emotion and money a fan invests in his team. In return, the team owes it to him to try and win matches.<br/> <br/> This is a particularly difficult situation at Wigan at p...

Re: worriers

I'd suggest the one thing Wigan fans are not worrying about at present is the size of their crowds. Now, for Saints fans it should be different. They're pehaps not worried, but given all the success they've recently had, they certainly should be embarrassed.
