On his last interview on Wigan tv IL said that a consortium of business men including IL were waiting the outcome of the takeover .He wanted to buy the ground and Sharpies but administrators said he had to buy the Latics as well. Now that the takeover has fallen through it opens the way for them.

Will the 2022 salary cap drop by a third because of the TV deal? How will wire deal with that! How will any team? Read somewhere that the money from SKY was only for the SL matches shown. When the SL split with the RL there was a cut off point in place whereas the SL paid the RL a share of tv money...

BBC wanted to drop the Challenge Cup a few years back it was pressure from the Rugby League MP's section in Parliament that it is still going .They insisted that Rugby League Challenge cup was a mainstream sport exported all over the world .
