Re: Bevan French

I can't see the club releasing any info on this until a work visa is issued. This could be a problem as he's not a project player and hasn't played top grade rugby for any great length of time. However, visas always do seem to be granted eventually so hopefully he'll be a Wigan player ASAP.

Re: Watkins set for NRL debut

Good luck to the lad. We should have signed him when he was a Salford Junior.

Agreed, DaveO. We all could see that Chris Hill was outstanding at Leigh and I recall, years ago, that some Wigan scout had said that Alex Walmsley wouldn't hack it at a higher level.
Those two would have been handy acquisitions.

Re: Lam previews Hull KR

A couple of weeks back, I made a comment that I hoped Joe Greenwood had made preparation for a life outside Rugby. The lad has another 55 to 60 years of living to do and I fear that after another bang or two on the head, he could suffer for a long time. He should rest this season out then take the b...

Re: Holts injury update

I just hope the lad has been encouraged to look at life (and income) after Rugby is over. I can see another Paul Prescott situation here and it's sad when a 100% grafter has to finish his career in sport early. I'm sure that when he was in the Saints youth set-up, learning in a trade or profession w...

Tony Smith ex Leeds and if it is, then that'll give us a real topic for discussion.
That's what I've heard anyway.

He’s had a medical.
And he's not cup-tied, didn't get selected last week for Widnes.

If I could offer IL one piece of advice, it's this.
Ask your friend Eamon McMannus at St Helens how he got shut of KFC 'cos we're now in exactly the same position that club was in two years ago with the same problems.

Re: Barcelona meeting place for Wigan fans

We, the wife and I, have been in Salou now for two days and not seen anyone from Wigan as yet. We'll be getting the 12.04 train from here to Barcelona Sants on Saturday. It would be nice to know if there are going to be other fans walking from the station to the Nou Camp from this train, safety in n...
