Re: Bid for the ground

It's not just buying the ground it's the maintenance costs '. The pitch is a mess, the admins sacked the head groundsman. The last estimate I heard a few years ago was that the stadium as a whole would need between £4 and £6 million spending on it in the foreseeable future. The Chinese did some of ...

Re: Wigan Warriors duo linked with London Broncos

My issue was that we brought in another player who offered no more in that centre position and who did not have the ability to kick goals. Ok Hankinson is no winger but that was not an issue at the time. I agree that neither of them offer what we have at present at centre but it always seemed a bit...

Re: Greenwood Departs

Its funny how he returned for the grand final after suspension but then not in the plans for next year. I know Bateman is back, but I would still want a big player like greenwood playing. I know most wouldn't agree, but I think he gives more to the team than Isa. He only played in the Grand Final b...

Re: Joe Greenwood Leaving ?

Back to Greenwood. He's one of the highest paid players at Wigan. If he can't get a first team starting spot then that's not value for money. He's not better than Isa, Farrell, Bateman, Havard or Shorrocks, so the sensible option is to let him go. Upgrade the contracts of the likes of Smith, Shorroc...

When we will have crowds to fund their wages, and for how long? With all that uncertainty they have probably minimised their risk.

What could Wigan afford?

Re: Grand Final 21-man squad

Danny McGuire who played alongside Hardaker expected him to kick it. But the keyboard assassins on here know differently.

Re: Sky Commentary AGAIN

Regarding past captains.

In the team at that time we had three leaders, Hanley, Edwards and Bell. All players who hated losing more than they enjoyed winning.

Re: Hastings

Not on last nights viewing. - Kick out on the full without any pressure - High kicks landing 20m out rather than on the goal line - Kicks caught by fullback/wingers on the full - Not much range Think it was pressure enough for the young lad playing in a semi final. He seemed to recover well from th...
