Re: Superleague fixture plans

If it where just me and go for option 3 mainly to get the wonder of the xmas programme back again and given the shite we've all been through this year I think we all deserve a nice festive and competitive afternoon out at the rugby, but again thats just me. Can't argue with that fozzie, all things ...

Re: Code Breakers

Thanks for that insight Richy, great to get a genuine opinion from that particular era. You can see why there was an influx of Welsh ru players from their working class roots, as opposed to a mere trickle coming from English ru, which at the time was mainly a Public School game.

As a student and fan of both RL, what's your take on that era, Richy. Be interesting to get a viewpoint on the issues raised ? Cheers.

Re: Cross Code Challenge v Bath 1996.

They were super keen to sign Rads and it was only after a long playing saga with numerous to and fro contract talks that he re-signed for us.

Re: Wigan Warriors' planned pay cut revealed

I wonder if Hastings and French will want to stay on half wages, could be more interested in a move back toOz despite their problems there. Unless I'm mistaken, French has been back home in Australia for at least a couple of weeks. With borders in lockdown, and planes grounded, not sure how he'll g...

Re: Shaun Wane not interested in “irrelevant” Phil Clarke’s criticism

Clarke has more Rugby league knowledge than Wayne will ever have having played RL in the NRL until injury curtailed his playing career. He also studied at Liverpool University so is educated to a level intellectually higher than SW has. Clarke is spot on in his assessment of SW his c.v Re him winni...

Re: The rest of the season

Just seen that Lineham's partner, a nurse at Wigan, has also now contracted the virus.
So another reason why "behind closed doors rugby" has serious implications away from the rugby field.
Testing might help, but we're not going to be top of the list for this facility, for at least some time.

Re: The rest of the season

I was, and I think DaveO also, that we presumed anyway that "behind closed doors" was a given. But I was trying to emphasize the extra risks of having players running around on a field, always in close proximity to each other, possibly already infected, or infecting, with the virus (without testing...
