Re: Wigan squad for Hull FC (SLR9)

For what it's worth. the referee has been a lot worse in the past. He obviously lacks confidence in his own ability and I know people don't like the video ref but Ben Thaler does get pretty much everything right and isn't afraid to reverse onfield decisions when they are wrong. The RFL seem to be se...

Re: Warrington vs St Helens

They looked like two sides on the slide. The Percival try was ludicrous. The footage was so inconclusive, the video ref had to agree with the original decision which was guess work. Better to have an onfield option that says the ref cannot be sure so it would have been ruled out because there was no...

Re: Referee for Sunday…..

Perhaps if we all keep very very quiet, he may not notice that it's Wigan on the pitch.

Re: Wigan squad for St Helens (Rivals Round)

To be fair to the video ref, with Miski's first try, he was looking to see if there was a double knock-on and I think Dupree had to be interfering with play, standing where he was for Smith's disallowed try. I thought Saints missed a trick because although Lomax isn't on top form, he would have cont...

Re: New signing

I'm a cynic, so assume that there will be commercial tie-ins that will cover his wages and I'm not sure we will see him in a Wigan shirt.
Nice if he proves me wrong although I can't for the life of me see why Martian Offiah was instrumental in the move.

Re: Kicking Tees

Surely players use their own tees? They all seem to have different types. I'm sure you're right, it's just that so many kickers seem to be having the same problem. Harry couldn't seem to squeeze the plastic into the right shape before each kick in the last match. I was beginning to wait for someone...

Kicking Tees

Anyone else noticed how kickers are struggling to get the ball set on the tee when a conversion or penalty is being prepared? I'm assuming RFL have changed the supplier, as I don't know if clubs are allowed to source their own equipment. Despite the problems, it looks as if the tees are good for kic...

Re: Team v HKR

First thing - I'm as vocal as anyone about Smith (the ref, that is) and his lack of quality but he was the same for both teams last night. He was lucky that his video ref was top-notch. As for the match - a bit like Ali in Zaire in 1975. We were battered and second-best for 60 minutes but it then be...

Re: Salford v Leeds

I had it on my tablet sort of in the background but i did think several things: How on earth did we manage to lose to Leeds who were awful? Why don't Salford try using the basics instead of mad offloads? I felt a bit for Wagstaffe who had passes over his head, at his ankles, behind him and everywher...
