Re: Message from IL

I'm not sure I've ever said it before and I probably won't say it again but that is very impressive from the Chairman and he's gone up a mile in my estimation.
Very well said and very well done.

Re: Morgan Escare set for an early exit from Wigan Warriors

Good luck to him. Not the club's finest hour, the way he has been treated.

Re: Cross Code Challenge v Bath 1996.

I suspect a lot of the players went eventually because they were 'star names' and Union was short of them at the time. Plus Union desperately players and coaches who understood angles and line-running to slice through a defence. On the evidence of both matches, I would have though Andy Johnson would...

Re: Cross Code Challenge v Bath 1996.

Just as I remembered. League is about running, passing, some kicking, tackling, defence and tactics. Union is about set pieces er……………… that's about it. Notable in the League game that Bath were almost literally run off their feet because the game flows. No long gaps while you walk gently to the nex...

Re: 21-man squad vs Salford

I thought Salford improved dramatically in the second half which likely means that they adapted their tactics against us. They began to make massive yards from their set of sixes and used the inside pass down the centre which we struggled to cope with. And what did we do? We endlessly tried to batte...

Groundhog Day. An average team well coached will beat a better uncoached team.

Re: Hastings the verdict so far?

Pleased that Hastings has done so well after that terrible tour in the summer when he wasn't good at all. Seems to have got a good rapport with those a round him, particularly Farrell. It should be even better when Olly gets back to left centre.
