Re: Wigan Warriors give extended injury update on four key men following serious injuries

It's not a question of slating the club, it's just that you should never issue a statement that raises more questions than it answers. That's a fairly basic rule. We need warts and all updates - we got it - we can't have just good news (as if!). Well, you can see from the thread that it's not the f...

Re: George Burgess

Don't know about a bombshell. More of a damp squib. I'd have been more impressed if he had looked likely to burst his way out of a paper bag.

Re: Lee Briers hoping to 'release pressure' on Harry Smith at Wigan Warriors in 2022

Take away the place-kicking duties; concentrate on tactical kicks along the ground and using his natural talent at beating opponents one on one and then we might just see the best of him.

Re: Mitch Clark

Clark didn't do himself any favours with his performances but when he was played after a long time out, he was impressive. Unfortunately, he then dropped back to bang-average and looked right at home in our forwards. Shame we messed with his career and didn't let him go to Toulouse. We have form at ...

Re: Laws changes for 2022

They have missed the most obvious one. After a set restart, all teams spend ages lying on the tackled player and ball while getting their defence into position, knowing that it will, at the worst, be another set restart and thus, no loss. If a penalty was awarded for transgressions on the first tack...

Re: Vote for your Try of the Season

I was tempted to vote for the Shorrocks try because it showed things we used to do like support play and it might strike a chord with the new regime! However, try of the season should be something that really stands out so it has to be the McDonnell try.

Re: End of Season Awards

I hope the other young forwards look at what Joe Shorrocks has achieved this season and how he has improved and learn!
I do hope he gets to play at loose-forward next season and not as a kind of substitute hooker.

Re: Wigan unveil new Coaching Team

The only question that matters is: How does that coaching team change the pattern and get the players that we have next season to attack and score tries?

Re: Vote for your Player of the Year

I voted for Joe Shorrocks not because he is a great player, although he has the potential to be but because he never stopped trying and was the only young player to improve during the season in a frankly poor team.
I hope I'll be voting for Sam Halsall next season.
