Re: Wigan squad for Salford (R27)
I know we have a week off following this game but Salford's squad gives us scope to rest a couple if need be. No harm in giving Eckersley another game and Walters needs a game in case we suddenly need him (due to injury/suspension) following this week. Clearly Smith and Bevan need to play but we co...

Re: Squads for Friday
Quite often they are way ahead of the kicker but always give the receiver 10 metres to stay within the laws. What it means in practice is that the Leeds forwards can tackle a player straightaway after the ten metre rule instead of having to run from behind the kicker which often allows the receiver...

Re: Squads for Friday
Hasn't every team been doing this for decades? I',m not sure it counts as cynical, its just the rules. I haven't actually noticed us do it to the level that we saw last week against KR. They were consistently offside, especially in the first half. The referee and tjs didn't seem to think so though....

Re: Squads for Friday
Be prepared for the Leeds tactic of their forwards moving yards offside when they tactically kick; giving the receiver 10 metres and then pinning us near to our line. It's legal but typically cynical from Leeds under their coach. Also, expect Bentley to target Smith (and everyone else) but mostly S...

Re: Squads for Friday
Newman has been a beneficiary of our wayward passes in the past. He'll be on the look out again this week and no doubt be part of the Leeds prep. Also part of our prep will be looking how to exploit his eagerness to get out the line to intercept surely. Could create that extra bit of space if he do...

Re: Wakey help Whitehaven
Brilliant from Wakey to be honest. Should never come to this though. The RFL need to take a hard look at themselves

Re: Reserves beaten in Grand Final
Sounds like a decent game. We have to accept that saints always produce plenty of good youngsters too. As I'm not up to speed with the reserves/academy, a question for those that are: is there anybody from yesterday's game, who hasn't played in the first team, that is likely to get a few games for ...

Re: Tonight v Hull KR
Mixed feelings about this one. Elated with the win. Most players individually actually played quite well but as a team we didn't perform. We only seemed to play in patches, mainly when they were down to 12. We did well to keep in the fight and took chances when they came when a man up. Hopefully we ...

Re: Tonight v Hull KR
Well, some bits of magic got us back in the game and KR poor discipline got us over the line. TBF, Mago's cameo was top draw and Nsemba was awesome throughout. Puzzled why Tanginoa wasn't penalised for the "tackle" on Miski... just an old fashioned shoulder charge to the head ? Didn’t hit...
