Re: NZ Warriors and Canterbury in for Hastings

If Bateman is coming back (which is looking likely) It will be on a marquee deal which means that one of Hastings or George Burgess will be off. When the season kicks in I think we'll see a lot more of Harry Smith being given exposure with a view to him taking the 7 jersey next season

Re: Sam Powell

Lets face it, We could win 86-2, Sam Powell could score 4 tries, create 3 more and break Smithies Tackle record. There would be a thread on here about how he is a liability for giving away the penalty that led to the 2 points conceded!!! Why would the opposition have so much ball possession in orde...

Re: Wakefield ban duo for life

Its creeping in and needs nipped in the bud now. I'm sure it makes me a boring dinosaur who wants to ruin everyone's fun, but we're more than capable of creating an atmosphere without letting off smoke bombs. The precedent has been set now so hopefully people will take note. All the RFL will do now ...

Re: Greenwood to Leeds

When he first came into the side Greenwood looked to be a class addition, was scoring tries for fun and making big yards going forward. Since he's had his concussion issues he's not been the same player for whatever reason and right now, Isa is in there ahead of him and (despite what many on here sa...

Re: Wigan vs wire

2 points on the board and we move on. That was the sort of game where last season we were conceding soft tries either side of the break, Wire threw the kitchen sink at us and other than the soft try they scored never really looked like scoring again. The way they play and the players they have they'...

Re: Low key opener?

I'm interested to know, is anyone or has anyone ever spoken to someone in the crowd who thinks Thursday's are a good thing? I've certainly not. As I travel to games from Chester the motorways are generally quieter than for a Friday night game and there is less chance half of the journey home ends u...

Re: Edwards new reason cited........

I don't think either side comes out of this one with much credibility, but Shaun Edwards certainly comes out worse. We knew before the start of last season that Hastings was coming for this season to replace Williams who was off to the NRL. There are no secrets in rugby league and for Edwards to say...

Re: Sonny Bill Williams won't wear chief Super League sponsor due to his religious beliefs

To be fair this is nothing new, The South African cricket team were sponsored by Castle Lager for a while and Hashim Amla would always play in an unsponsored shirt. You've seen it with Asian cricketers in County competitions where the county they play for are sponsored by an Alcohol brand. Euan Murr...
