Wakey have announced today that their young fullback Alex Walker is leaving. Does this support the rumours about Zak or is it just a coincidence? In addition, Rocky Hampshire is out of contract which means he could leave or play fullback (which we know he loves) or move to 6 to replace Miller.

I've always had the impression that Briers was highly thought of by those he's coached. You'd hope he could help out Harry Smith for starters. On top of that at least we'd be able to win by drop goal when required.

When we played Leeds the other week I remember thinking at half time that they were the worst Leeds side I'd seen for years. Saints' loss to Catalans has probably done them a favour. I can't see them losing again this year.

Gale has been a top player but he's far too injury prone. It looks as though we want Miller who may be the best available that we could get but to be honest I'd prefer Lino. He's a great kicker and seems on good form now that he's adapted to Super League.

I think the days are gone when we can expect to get any player from wire that they want to keep. We just don't seem to be able to compete financially. Sensible decision to announce it before the meeting tonight. It wouldn't have been fair on Lammy to announce it tonight. My overiding emotion is one of relief. He's done his best and went very close to winning the grand final last season. Best of luck to him in the future.

Just watched the build up to the match and I can't believe how desperate all the commentators are for us to lose today. They'll probably get thier wish but at least the day has started well with both HUll FC and Leeds losing.
