Re: Jackson - A Man Of His Word

Im going to throw this out there i think Jackson would stay as long as Wigan are at the sharp end winning trophies. I think if one of the glamour NRL clubs comes for him he will go but i getr the impression he wants to win and be loved and i think he's more chance of that with a top English team ov...

Re: Is ex-Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane in the England frame?

If Wane is in the frame then we are desperate. He’d coach England the same way he coached Wigan and so the forwards would all be told to drop to the deck on contact for a quick PTB and the wingers told to make the yards in their own 20m. It would take a half decent Aussie coach five minutes to suss...

Re: Is ex-Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane in the England frame?

His skill set isn’t the best but the one thing he will be good at is getting the team up for it and buzzing. Could never fault his charisma Wane was told to win trophies no matter what and he did just that with a constantly changing team. We had more churn than leeds and look how they have been doi...

Re: Where will Wigan finish in the table?

A close second i think. I don't feel the recruitment has been good enough for you guys to reduce the gap from where we were last season . If we perform to the same level i think we ( saints) will finish top . A lot depends on how you set up in the back line and if it works. I really fear Hastings ,...

While i agree that we need to try something other than tommy at half (hes no spring chicken) his bit hit ups in defence are needed.

Forgot about Clark but I do think 2nd row needs attention - I don't think the Hull article is way off TBH. Either way Saints 2nd row has the edge on us and thats a problem.
I'd have Farrel over saints 2nd row anyday. That isnt to say that i think Taia and Poeryoux are bad players.

Re: Salary Cap Question

Don't most players have alternative jobs? I know Charnley started a clothing range as did Teirney? It just doesn't make sense that it goes on the cap, anything that increases the RL profile should not count. I get the idea is to stop clubs abusing it to pay their own players to break the cap, but s...

Re: Salary Cap Question

I thought the NRL had shirt numbers 1 - 17, not having a specific squad number allocated to each squad member. yes i think youre correct NRL have game day shirts and you get given the number of the position you play in. Its really interesting the point of a marquee player not limited by cap because...
