Re: Wigan Warriors ace George Williams facing new competition for a Great Britain spot

I don't mind saying I didn't think Sutton would be able to step up to the NRL, but it looks like he has, and fair play to him. Goes to show, amongst other factors, how much the NRL environment can improve players. As for Williams, of course he is not a bad player. In Canberra terms, though, he is Wi...

It's not a great look, but we see it in RU, cricket... and it's hardly a new thing is league either; Rangi Chase?

And it's not going to go away.

Re: Ex-Wigan Warriors ace Martin Gleeson takes coaching role in rugby union

Always makes me laugh when union fans come out with that patronising crap about how league is a simple game which lacks the subtlety and complexity of union (when I lived in the South-West, I heard that a lot). If that's the case, why are they so keen on our coaches?

Re: Dan Sarginson stakes claim for Wigan Warriors full-back spot

With all the advice freely available to them on this forum, you have to wonder why Leneghan and Lam keep making such bad decisions :D Seriously, wouldn't it be helpful when reading a post offering advice on how a millionaire should spend his money, or how a SL coach should pick his team, if posters...

Re: Dan Sarginson stakes claim for Wigan Warriors full-back spot

This is getting like Rocky II... "Wane must have something against him!", "He's the best prospect I've seen in x years of watching the game!" Then he went to Cas, and, surprise surprise, Powell didn't think he was the second coming either. I'm no fan of Lam and don't particularly want to see him as ...

Tell me a coach who could get this lot anywhere near the top 5.
I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that another coach could get more out of a the current squad than Lam is doing.

Re: Leeds V Wigan

Yeah, as I said on the other thread, Hank defended well, and his goal-kicking was great and looked confident. We certainly could have used Sammut's kicking game, though. Luckily for us, Lolo and Myler were both pretty poor too. We may be two points off fifth or whatever, but we have nowhere near eno...

Re: Why doesn’t Lam pick Escaré??

Well it looks like we've found a kicker! I don't think Hank is much of an attacking centre, but he defends well, and is worth a place for his goal-kicking on this form. Sarge did next to nothing wrong at full-back, and I'd be quite content to see him stay there.
