Re: Who stays? Who goes? Wigan Warriors' situation with off-contract stars

Watching a hell of a lot of archive games lately (which I imagine many of us have been doing) has only reinforced in my mind how valuable some of our most criticised players have been to the club. And first on that list is Sam Powell. Closely followed by Sarge.

Re: Scrums could be eliminated under new law recommendations

I'm not against these changes as such, but the idea that somehow they make the game 'safer' with regard to CV is rubbish. Rugby league is a contact/collision sport. It is either safe to play it, or it isn't. Rules tweaks will have zero effect on that.

Re: Six more tackles

I think that is also true, Mike, and is why I think Aussie fans who are saying "See, we never needed two refs; it works fine with one" are slightly missing the point.

Re: NRL

I'd be happy to just see us adopt the current NRL rules, which would be a good thing in more ways than one. I didn't like the sound of the set re-start rule, but it has worked well down there. Mind you, I reckon their refs are better than ours, and that makes a big difference.

Can't see opening the whole stadium for only 4000 fans being financially viable.

Don't know how Huddersfield manage, then!
