Re: NRL in Salford takeover?
The NRL obviously like the idea of a big-city team in Manchester, and Salford is Manchester near enough, if you're in Sydney. But the AJB isn't in Salford or even near it. And no doubt they think they've forced through mergers before in the NRL, which haven't always gone down well (is there not stil...

Re: Wigan squad for Hull FC (SLR9)
Agreed Mike and this is why the captains challenge should be scrapped at least till such times as they can acquire the tech needed or if it is there someone who knows how to implement it properly I've said here plenty of times when the idea came in that I wasn't convinced the tech in England was go...

Re: Wigan squad for Hull FC (SLR9)
Regarding the inordinate length of time it took to come to a decision on the Miski try. I got the feeling that Ben Thaler wanted to see the two camera angles (one showing the grounding, the other the touchline from behind) in sync together before he made a decision and the director, for whatever re...

Re: Six again
I just watched MP's Wigan TV interview, and yeah, he does sound very frustrated. And you can't blame him.

Re: Wigan squad for Hull FC (SLR9)
The Miski try was not straightforward, but what bugged me about it was that Ben Thaler seemed to have convinced himself it was a try quite early in the piece, but then repeatedly looked at the same angles over and over again before eventually spitting it out.

Re: Wigan squad for Hull FC (SLR9)
I said when the CC was brought in that I thought it worked fine in the NRL, but was not convinced it would translate well into SL. Not unless a lot more money was spent, obviously. And I stick to that view. And there should be a time limit. Also, the chances of the CC disappearing are frankly zero. ...

Re: Six again
As someone who hasn't got Sky, I much preferred the old BBC set-up with the Superleague Show, imperfect as it was. The Sky Sports+ coverage could hardly be cheaper and nastier.

Re: Wigan squad for Hull FC (SLR9)
Yet another game ruined by inept refereeing and video reviews taking forever. I have always said that the video ref is a complete waste of time, we need to get rid of it, the refs have become too over-reliant on it, they can't make a decision anymore. I am expecting the first day of magic to finish...
