Re: Challenge Cup

The refs are much stricter on escorting in the NRL than they are here. Rightly so. Defenders who change their line to obstruct attacking players coming through should be penalised.

Would like a good ol blood and thunder match where there are big hits, but enough space for the skill merchants to show their stuff.

Just would like a spectacle for the neutral supporter and those new to the sport to enjoy.

Head of Sport Science and Nutrition John Wilkinson,

Re: Who are you shouting for?

I generally take the view that the Challenge Cup Final is still a showcase for our sport, so hope for a decent contest and some good skill on show. I don't care who wins, but i hope it's not a rout.

Fair enough, Josie, but nevertheless, surely touch-judges are responsible for detecting forward passes?

And I don't think they really do a good enough job. There are way too many forward passes in our game, especially from dummy-half.

Yes, good luck to him indeed. He has always given everything on the pitch for the cause, and continues to do this season too.

Re: Raiders proved non-believers wrong with Storm win: Stuart

I don't think you are wrong. I reckon their halves are fairly ordinary compared to plenty of NRL sides, but they get away with it because Hodgson creates so much for them. And their pack and outside backs are a match for any, as they showed against the Storm.

Re: Wigan vs Warrington

Willie Isa is currently the 3rd top tackler in SL. Fortunately management and coaches at the club recognise the need for players like Willie in the team - I'm sure his teammates do too. Coincidentally, I happened across that stat earlier tonight. That's quite an effort right there. I think he's bee...
