Re: Bateman to wire
I think partly that, Josie, and also that his stock-in-trade has always been, the small forward punching above his weight. but I don't think you can sustain a long-term successful career doing that.

Re: Wigan squad for Warrington (R19)
Somebody was saying yesterday (might not have been here) that MP will out-coach Sam Burgess. Much as I hate to say it, it didn't look like that tonight. Farrimond barely touched the ball in the first half. which doesn't seem smart. If we're going to play him, he has to see his fair share of the ball...

No, I'm not, Josie.josie andrews wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 7:26 am

He'll be a very good player in SL. Saints certainly need a bit of pace.

Re: Bateman to wire
I wouldn't want Bateman back at Wigan but he will bring about a short term improvement for them. I know that a lot of our fans don't feel that wire will provide a major threat this season (or next?) because they've flattered to deceive so many times before. However, if they win on Friday (and I thi...

Re: Referee for Friday
I'll continue to say, I don't think a Wigan ref for a Wigan home fixture, especially a local derby, is a good look, and I don't understand why they persist with it. Obviously, it puts further pressure on the officials.

Yes, it wasn't brutal or malicious, but it was a proper coat-hangering
the like of which have been penalised in the past.
