Changing of the guard

In 1996 Wigan RL played Bath RU in a couple of matches. Whilst, somewhat predictably, Wigan won the RL game and Bath came out on top in RU, it was generally accepted that in the traits that were common between the two codes- running, passing, lines of attack and general skill levels, RL was light ye...

Re: Why we will be worse off through Brexit (Question from other forum)

^ already noticed :D But more importantly, and infinitely more damaging than your grammatical error, is the likelihood of BJ getting this through Parliament. I now fear that the mood music is pointing to him scraping it through with a very very small majority. Enough Labour rebels will vote for it a...

Re: Why we will be worse off through Brexit (Question from other forum)

I was wondering if Boris would eventually go for a border between Britain and the island of Ireland to avoid the "non-issue" of NI. I reckon we should just split the country into leave and remain regions and let everyone go there own way. Why should Manchester be dragged out if it voted Remain? Cit...

Re: Why we will be worse off through Brexit (Question from other forum)

W just spotted what you were referring to. Fair do's W🙄 Sent myself to the naughty step. I do understand by the way as you did I claim the same excuse you gave above :D Also ones is grammatically correct because it wasn't being used as a contraction of "one is" but more as an example where an apost...

Re: Why we will be worse off through Brexit (Question from other forum)

Nonsense. My post is grammatically correct - from the aspect of the" tellers" who collate the ballot forms they are only interested in the "X" marks recorded on the ballot form anything else that doesn't invalidate the ballot is irrelevant Simple! Now go off and finish your drink and I'll finish my...

Re: Why we will be worse off through Brexit (Question from other forum)

Of course it was advisory, by definition and we were told would be acted on and subsequently it led to parliament passing the withdrawal bill and not forgetting both magor parties standing on mandates to respect the Referendum or was that just a dream oh and the point we didn't know what we voted f...

Re: Why we will be worse off through Brexit (Question from other forum)

I would say Varadkar is more desperate for a deal than Johnson.

Johnson has some public support for a no deal, Varadkar has very little. Ireland would be hit very very hard and he knows it.

A no deal is bad for everyone. I just think Varadkar cares more.

Re: Why we will be worse off through Brexit (Question from other forum)

Sorry but we've already had leave or stay, If there is ever a second referendum (which there shouldn't be) then it must Deal or No deal, That is the fairest way to do it Sorry but which bit of the above didn't you read? Like it or not, people voted for various "flavours of leave". Some of which are...
