Brilliant news and now that's settled and announced I think we'll see the very, very best of Bevan.
Also what a welcome change to the retention and recruitment policies by the club - getting the job done effectively in the background without all the will he/won't he drama.

Re: Consistency of officiating
There are a lot of thoughtful comments in this thread so here are a few (hopefully thoughtful) reflections of my own: The thread is about 'consistency of officiating'. I've been watching the game for well over 60 years and inconsistency has always been an issue and I guess always will be - from Eric...

Re: Wigan Warriors: Player ratings with three above the rest in 'below best' Challenge Cup performance
I think the ratings are generally fair. Abbas had one of his least effective games and didn't make the metres out of defence that he usually does and we attacked far more down the left than the right. Maybe a bit harsh on Mago!

Re: Luke Thompson
Thought it was really good to see Thompson getting fully involved with the group last night and showing a lot of passion. It looks as if he's really settled into the team and club now which can only be good news for our pack as a whole and especially our young forwards.

Re: Ticket info: St Helens (A)
What is this nonsense about 'assigning' tickets to 'people in your network' when trying to purchase tickets online? The system doesn't tell you how to add names to your 'network' and suggests that you can only assign tickets to other members/season ticket holders. I fully appreciate that this is a n...

Re: Club Statement: Ticketing
Does anyone know the situation for adult tickets for the Salford game please? The official website is offering tickets for juniors, under-18's and adult concessions (over 65's) but not a standard adult ticket. Have they sold out? Are there separate allocations for the different types of ticket? Seem...

Re: Unbalanced fixtures
We did and the biggest problem for me is that the momentum to build a bigger fan base after the WCC and the brilliant initiative of £5 tickets for the Huddersfield game will be lost.josie andrews wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 5:27 pm Think several of us commented on this when the fixtures were announced

Re: Pitch
I hope our speedy backs get a chance to shine and for that a relatively dry pitch is better. After all the build up I'd rather not watch a muddy slugfest!Charriots Offiah wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2024 1:03 pm I hope the pitch is poor but I hope Penrith are worse

Re: Wigan squad for Castleford (R1)
Not a chance in hell they will ban Smith. If it was a regular round, maybe but even the RFL aren't that stupid as to ruin their Golden Match. I wish I had your confidence. I genuinely think this could go either way in Smith's case. From what I can recall Smith has no history of disciplinary issues ...
