Re: Wigan squad for Hull KR (Semi-Final)
Excellent result and performance in the semi. Big praise to Matty Peet and the coaching staff for doing their homework. Hull KR had their main threats neutralised ie Lewis show and go picking out the centres and back row forwards running into gaps and the big left shift looking to put Ryan Hall into...

How can we improve for next year?
With the contract extensions announced it seems like our backs will remain very stable for the next few years. We have also strengthened our forwards during the closed season so the question needs to be asked what signings can be made to strengthen the side for next year. The only possible area I be...

Re: Consistency of officiating
By the time this happens our game will be ruined. Matches are not decided by how good the two teams are but by what colour card the ref pulls from his pocket.

Re: Consistency of officiating
Most ironic thing about this debate is that I have not seen a really bad tackle this year. Thirty years ago you had the likes of Les Boyd, Kelvin Skerrett and Dean Sampson dealing out the swinging arm jaw-breakers which really could do some damage if they connected. What we have seen this season is ...

Consistency of officiating
This season it seems that each week one or more teams seem to have major issues with the standard of the match officials in superleague, and this week it’s our turn. Having been to St Helens this afternoon I can honestly say that the turning point of the game was the sending off of Liam Byrne if he ...

Unbalanced fixtures
Reading the fixture list .
The first half of the season 4 home matches and 10 away matches.
The second half of the season 10 home matches and 4 away matches.
I know we have have our annual pitch maintenance month but this seams more unbalanced than usual.

Re: Night under the lights
They have just interviewed Miski and Thompson, both seemed quite positive and ready for the season. Miski says he’s over the ACL which seems remarkably quick. Thompson says he’s been in every day training and is looking forward to the new season, neither gave many details but seemed quite upbeat

Re: Night under the lights
I stand corrected we aren’t going to learn anything from this, this the least intense and worst organised training session I’ve seen for many a day.

Night under the lights
Currently waiting for this open training session to start, watching in the stand. I’m interested in the following 1. How fit is Thompson 2. Has Miski got over the knock he took in the final 3. How intense contact wise Wigan train. 4. What sort of shape the international players are in. Should be an ...

Re: Wigan squad for Warrington / Tonight's Match v Warrington
Good performance last night. Warrington set off at hundred miles per hour and scored the early try. Wigan didn’t panic and stuck to their game plan. Warrington’s big pack couldn’t keep up their early pace and we scored two good first half tries. Second half was more of the same we controlled the ruc...
