Wigan Cup Final Referee.

25 years old and I thought he had a very good game. Compare and contrast with Bent Haler who drives me to distraction everytime he is the video ref. He has the mistaken impression that we are all watching the game just so we can listen to his voice for endless minutes as he calls for endless replays...

Re: Club Statement: Covid-19

Its all a cunning plot. Wigan and Cats having realised that if neither team loses and messes up their percentage ratio they keep Leeds out of the top 4 so they cancel the match.
You couldn't make it up, or could you?

Re: 21-man squad vs Warrington

I love rugby! All the talk before the game is about coaching, tactics, team selection and so on. But as soon as the whistle blows it's blood and guts. Sheer determination not to be beaten by every one of um. Sure no shortage of skill, or mistakes, but who cares about a dropped ball or missed tackle...

Re: 21-man squad vs Warrington

Beginning to think that Dom with all his knee injuries might have lost his absolute speed.
Time to make him a centre?
Singleton added a bit of grunt up front and Greenwood survived his head injury to continue his return to something like he could offer with his size and power.

Time for Cardiff to crown 'King Billy'

So says the back page headline of the Sports section of today's Daily Telegraph after philanthropist business man Sir Stanley Thomas donated almost £300k towards a statue to celebrate the black sportsmen who came out of Cardiff Bays' Butetown area. The writers father, a Roughyeds fan from Oldham des...

Suppose that is better than the old system whereby, if your face fits then you got a testimonial.

Steve Hampson comes to mind. He got shunted off just before one was due after ten years brilliant service.

But he got his revenge when he played for Salford!

Bye bye Adrian Lam.
Hello Ian Watson, he has to be our next coach, he can make diamonds out of coal.

Re: 21-man squad vs Leeds

But when SoL gets back on the field we score tries for fun. Why wasn't he on sooner

Not, just in case anyone misses the sarcasm. Smith might be only 20 but surely he should be starting every game if he is fit?

Re: 21-man squad vs Leeds

Once again a scoreboard totally unrepresentative of the game.

Re: 21-man squad vs Leeds

Another thing that drives me to distraction is that after every kickoff by the opposition our sole play is a pass inside to Isa and occasionally to Farrell who take it up to the set defensive line and go down with the ball, first tackle wasted. If we are going to play that the ball has to go to a bi...
