Re: Wigan Warriors will have a big pack in 2020, says optimistic Ian Lenagan

Gildart can play right centre. It's where he played at the end of last year and his form there got him into the England side when he was originally overlooked. The issue with him there wasn't that he wasn't suited to that side (his defence was outstanding and he created some good tries), but that at...

Re: Wigan Warriors will have a big pack in 2020, says optimistic Ian Lenagan

EEP regardless of size id take Faz over other SL 2nd rowers any day of the week So would I, and he runs above his weight too, as did Bateman, which is why those two together was never an issue. I'm not sure about Isa on the opposite side though. He's got a great work rate and never seems to get inj...

Re: Wigan Warriors will have a big pack in 2020, says optimistic Ian Lenagan

It's great that we're looking for a bit more size in the pack but we also have to make sure the players are not only big but mobile and athletic. Tony Clubb is bigger than Luke Thompson but who would you rather have in your side? I think the issue over the years is that our more consistent forwards ...

Re: Which Wigan Warriors players may be departing in the off-season?

Isn’t next season the start of the proper reserve grade competition? Unless it’s money because the club is skint or if players want to leave to find first team football there is no real reason to let anyone go. Not that I want everyone retained of course. The one about Davies to Leeds is a strange ...

Re: Next season

The point about him retiring from international rugby is a very valid point. Will it happen? No! I can foresee exactly the same scenario at the end of next season. Leulaui/Lockers and add Isa to the list of players the club management will be looking to offer extended deals to because no one in the...

Re: A Step Too Far

What don't you understand about the fact we didn't win ONE big game? Are you seriously suggesting beating Wire after they had won the CC and being knocked out of the CC by Wire means its OK because we beat them eventually? We lost FOUR times to Saints and then the excuse was we only need to be beat...

Re: A Step Too Far

The problem is we have not won one single big game all year. Lost the WCC, knocked out of the cup by Wire, lost again to them at magic. Lost at the Nou Camp, lost four times to Saints and lost both playoff semi finals. That record can’t be blamed on running out of steam at the end of the season as ...

Re: Next season

Anybody who puts lockers in there team for next season needs there head examining. Waste of a shirt now. And don’t give me that crap he deserves it as he’s been loyal. Lam has to do the best by the team If he plays on next year he should be considered along with everyone else. He's played more game...

A Step Too Far

I've read a lot of the reactions to the Salford defeat but I can honestly say I wasn't surprised by it. I've been waiting for our over-reliance on young forwards to catch up with us and I think in the last two games it finally has done. For quite a while now we've been relying on our outside backs t...
