Re: Squad v Castleford

One thing seems to have been missed in all the analysis - though Josie touched on it by referring to changes in the spine: At any point in the season, we could have enforced changes due to injury. If this means changes to the spine, then Hampshire is first in line to come in. Yet he's had very litt...

Re: Disciplinary

How is Byrne's worse than this? https://www.skysports.com/rugby-league/video/30998/13090468/this-is-another-big-call-st-helens-mark-percival-sees-red-for-fou l-play It's not. In fact Percival appears to jump up into the tackle adding force and the opposite of dipping into th etackle so it could be ...

Re: Disciplinary

It's a higher grading than I thought for Byrne, but having watched it back I think it's fair. I initially thought Percvial dipped just before contact but he's actually dipped well before contact. All Byrne had to do was bend his back going into the tackle. There's plenty of time for him to anticipa...

Re: Derby Day!

He did Flash but that comes a a result of him taking the ball to the line which he needs to do more of. His creativity stems from a pass out wide, he very rarely puts a centre or second row forward through a gap. On Good Friday I wanted to see him take on the Saints forwards when they were tired, e...

Re: Disciplinary

Liam Byrne has been given a Grade E Charge following our R6 tie against St Helens. The charge has been referred to tribunal. Tyler Dupree, Wigan Warriors, Head Contact, Grade C 1, Match Penalty Notice. Dupree's Grade C head contact is not the incident for which he was yellow carded for a raised his...

Re: Derby Day!

What you are not factoring in is the impact that Havard, Cooper and Walters can have on this team. Bevan will never be a creative half back what we need him to do is run the ball more often at tiring defences. I'd say the complete opposite Chariots. He's definitely a creative half back as his tries...

Re: Derby Day!

It’s not just one game. Our forwards just out muscled London no decent attacking sets. Sheffield was a struggle. Salford we were poor and lucky to win. Came unstuck against Saints because our discipline was poor and our attacking options were non existent. Sorry to upset anyone but Bevan is not a c...

Re: Consistency of officiating

What bans do we think they will get i think at least two each and a possible ban for lees and dodds Dupree 1 match ban Bryne 3 match as can't let the ref look like he was wrong on mitigation. Lees 1 match followed by a successful appeal on the grounds he thought he could get away with it. Dodds not...

Re: Consistency of officiating

https://ibb.co/BCJKSxL Can anyone explain why Lees going into the tackle upright and with no attempt to wrap the arms is ok but Byrne doing it isn't? Couldn't get that to play for some reason, but was there head contact? If there was, the Wigan player would be advised to stay down for a few seconds...
