Re: Sarge still a work in progress
<t>After the loss at Leeds I think Waney will bring in changes for the Hull game.<br/> Wouldn't surprise me if he brought in Manfredi to play right wing with Gelling going left centre. <br/> He's got to play Powell soon so may go with him as interchage and Williams going to 7 giving Smithy a rest.<b...

Re: Nothing amazing
<t>Leeds are a lot, lot fitter than previous seasons.<br/> They used to fade in the last 10 mins of a half but not this year. They go the 80 and are up and down for the ptb very quickly.<br/> <br/> If we are to beat them then we will have to put out our best front row plus Lockers at loose. The best...

Re: Sarge still a work in progress
<t>Dan is not a centre yet and I simply don't know why he was played there.<br/> For those of us who were at Cas saw the nightmare that was Sarginson and Burgess defending (or not defending) on the left. Cas were 16-0 up in 16 mins with three tries down their right and our left side defence. <br/> H...

Re: Bowen contract
<t>When Bowen first signed I'm pretty sure it was a one year deal with a further year's option. In who's favour I don't know.<br/> We are all big fans of Hampshire yet the thought of him being given the 6 shirt (should Green leave) worries me.<br/> He isn't the biggest lad around and due to his pace...

Re: Squad for Friday
<t>The four props for me would be Taylor, Crosby, Clubb and Dudson.<br/> Hughes and either Williams or Powell to drop out.<br/> I just hope he doesn't go with Sarginson and Burgess on the left. After what happened at Cas I don't think we should risk that v Leeds.<br/> My 17 -<br/> Bowen,<br/> Sargin...

It was written for the Yorkshire Evening Post.
What else would Kear say in the Leeds paper?

Re: Veteran Jordan James could win an extended stay at Wigan Warriors
<t>The reason for Waney saying this is an odd one.<br/> No one believes that JJ is a SL quality prop but one that can be utilised in a rotation system against the bottom end teams.<br/> I mentioned on another thread that it only makes any kind of sense if we are going to lose one or more props at th...

Re: Ian Thornley
<t>After seeing the left wing of Sarginson and Burgess at Cas then I don't feel we should risk it again v Leeds.<br/> Gelling needs a number of games to pick up some kind of form and may be worth him going again.<br/> Difficult one but Cas had an absolute field day down our left side defence that ga...

Re: Dom Crosby
If James does get another year's contract he will be eighth choice prop by my estimation.
He'll be behind - Flower, Taylor, Crosby, Pettybourne, Dudson, Clubb, Sutton then Jordan James.
That's unless one of those named will leave at the end of this season.
