Caine Barnes & Samy Kibula to Leave Wigan

Sad to see earlier rumours confirmed today that Samy has signed for wire next season. Given his age and a requirement for a reserve side next season I thought we may give him more time. Although not very athletic at times, he's a huge lad with good skills who may yet grow into his frame. I had the i...

Re: 'I want Morgan Escare to shine against Wigan Warriors', says Adrian Lam

It sounds like Morgan was Morgan and as usual he has his fans and his detractors. Whatever you think about his ability it's a good thing that he's playing at the moment because it's quite possible that we'll need him for the playoffs.

Re: 'I want Morgan Escare to shine against Wigan Warriors', says Adrian Lam

I'm all in favour of loan players playing against their club, in fact, I think it's wrong not to let them do so. If Morgan plays well. good for him, he'll certainly think he has something to prove. I think we'll put him under a lot of pressure and don't expect his good moments to outweigh his bad on...

Re: Warrington playing again on Thursday is “absolutely ridiculous”

It's unfair but I'll be happy if we can take advantage of a win for Salford. I notice Price is only 'resting' four players. I think I'd have been tempted to rest most of the team that played on Saturday and let them enjoy their victory properly. They'll gain huge confidence from winning the final an...

Re: Who are you shouting for?

It's a tricky one because they can't both lose! I feel bad saying this but I want saints to win for two reasons:
Firstly, they're going to win anyway so I won't be too disappointed and secondly, I like being able to sing 'it's always your year' to the wire fans.

Re: Chris Hill

I've been very impressed with Philbin every time I've seen him this season. He runs very hard and has an aggressive streak that would fit right in with the rest of our pack. Hill does seem to have dropped a level this season and he certainly didn't enjoy his encounters with Ollie on Friday.

Re: Warrington Signing

Wire have Ratchford and Mamo plus any youngsters I don't know about. Why would they need Morgan? Having said that, losing Morgan wouldn't be as upsetting as losing some of the other possibles.

Re: Injury setback for Wigan Warriors prop

Sad news for Benny and the team, makes Friday more of a challenge. Ben does seem to be at that stage of his career where the injuries are becoming more frequent. He, Lockers and Clubby give us experience but perhaps we can't expect them to play too often next season. Perhaps we should try rotating t...

Re: 19-man squad vs Hull KR

I was thinking the same myself. Sarge's form recently puts him ahead of Hanky (if we don't need Hanky to kick) and I'm not certain how good Bibby is. I assume that someone decided that Sarge, on his existing wages, wasn't good value for money and we've tried to replace him for someone cheaper. Could...

Re: Adrian Lam: Opinions changed?

Really pleased that results have improved but I don't think we're overachieving this season. It's more likely that the players have adjusted to Lam's methods and other teams are hitting more injury problems so I'd say that Lammy has done a good solid job. We still have a poor record against the top ...
