Oh medlocke
No no no, mediocre is exactly the opposite.
Too unkind!

Sam Powell
It seems to me that our regular no 9 doesn't get his share of the credit and praise for the way Wigan are playing at the moment. The opening game saw him KO'd on 22 min. We had looked a bit rusty for the opening few minutes but slowly began to assert ourselves until Sam was injured. Thereafter we lo...

Re: Top three versus Hull FC
A lot of good players on the park today, and we looked like a team more than the previous 3 games. There was a 10 minute spell in our opening game when we looked good, and it ended with Sam Powell being knocked out. He hasn't played till today, but his return seems unnoticed among previous comments,...

Re: O’Loughlin hospitalised following eye injury!
SOL has been one of our greatest players. Sure injuries have taken their toll, but he remains inspirational both on and off the field. There is no doubt that the Warriors play better when he's there with them. I profoundly hope that when he hangs up his boots it's his own decision, not because of so...

Re: Top Referee stood down by RFL following suspension
It has to be more than a drop goal.
Referees are human and make mistakes. If they were suspended over every error we wouldn't have any referees at all.
That said my paranoia over a certain party at Leeds does make me wonder - but I accept I may be biased.

Re: Huddersfield v WIGAN
It was a good night to be a Wigan supporter. Great craic. Good atmosphere at our end of the ground and great fun watching us actually play some rugby. We actually played well, and Hanky's goalkicking has been a revelation, I make it 10 from 11 of which at least 4 were difficult kicks. So well done. ...

Re: Wigan Warriors 42 Catalans Dragons 0: Five things we learned
You can only play what's in front of you, and sadly yesterday it was a below par Catalan side. But, that's their problem, not ours. It was a delight to see a real team performance. Yes there were errors, yes we knocked on and had the odd forward pass, but overall this was a much improved performance...

Re: How can Rugby League be grown?
There's no one reason why Rugby League has dropped down in terms of participation and audiences, both televised and at the grounds. My own view is that poor management and poor publicity have not helped. Sadly neither has the fact that all the televised games (bar the Challenge Cup) are on Sky. That...

Re: Referee
It's frustrating when mistakes are made at critical times in matches. I agree entirely with the Sky panel's comments that you can't go back and second guess every single incident. But in the 30 seconds allowed by the shot clock to form a scrum, then the video official has time to point out a howler....
