Re: New Signings Are On The Way

The thing with Burgess is that even though he is a top class winger, I just don't think we should be spending a significant amount of the salary cap on wingers. We all know that the most important players are the forwards and playmakers. That's why we've struggled against teams when our injuries ha...

Re: New Signings Are On The Way

Sadly the situation seems to be that just one player, even as good one like Hastings or Burgess G, doesn't look like being enough, as we need strengthening all over the park,.

Re: Hardaker

Put it this way with the Hardaker effort: if it had been scored against us and given, I wouldn't have been impressed. And really, given as no-try on the field, it was hardly convincing enough to overturn.

Waste of time,money and effort
Maybe, but I'd hope not. A successful team in a city the size of Liverpool would be massive for the sport.

Re: George Williams (Tell an Aussie)

Also what is he like? I try to watch as much as I can of the Super league but it is nothing like you guys watching weekly. Is he an organising 7? Or more like a running/ ball playing 6? Very much the latter. Why did you guys get rid of Blake Austin? He is a similar kind of player. But the NRL can i...

Apparently another two weeks but I reckon it could be four at least!

Be interesting to see. Have to say, I thought the same about Sutton, but he's doing OK.

Re: Sam Powell

Out and out Powell fans could ask themselves: say we heard (unlikely, but bear with me) that the club were swapping Powell for Houghton. Or McShane. Or even Leeming. Would you be happy, or not?

Re: Sam Powell

Yeah, but... you can argue the praise and criticism are both valid. I can accept that he went a long way towards winning us the match on Saturday, that he always give 100%, etc but likewise I find it hard to argue with "other SL hookers offer more" and "what other club would want him?...

Re: Hardaker

On TV recently, can't remember where exactly, probably The Superleague Show, ZH was described as "athletic". I thought, if there's one word that doesn't describe him... He looks laboured to me. I've seen comments elsewhere to the effect that he is carrying too much weight, maybe he is. And...
