Re: Grand Final Odds

Saints are easily the best team in the league and deserve the final accolade. Having said that I think Salford will prove better opposition than we would have and who knows could win it. Should make an interesting spectacle. I'm looking forward to a good game for RL in general

Re: Versus Salford

Hope the happy clappers are enjoying this shower. Imagine how crap you are when a pub player like dudson looks like a world beater. Fold the club, rads out, lam out, lenegan out, happy clappers out. Set all your cherry and white clothing on fire. If you have anything positive to say about that perf...

Arguments : ad hominem

with respect to fellow Posters can. I beg their indulgence and direct their attention to the Urban Dictionary which is available via Google to the definition of the concept " ad hominem". I think we have all been found wanting in this regard. Some more than others😄🍷cheers!

Re: Not long to wait now.

The info you provided re the War of the Roses I found fascinating. I'm no historian but. You appear to be.and to be proud of your birth place I find endearing. A while back I had occasion to comment on "peterloo" and was asked for my sources. I couldn't illucidate but Knowing of your histo...

Re: Not long to wait now.

Head to M1 junction 47, turn left on the B1217, past Lotherton Hall. A few miles further along, at the top of the hill before it drops down to Towton, pull into the lay-by and see the boards telling the story of the battle of Towton Moor. To your left is Cock Beck, of which Shakespeare said "t...

Re: George Williams v Jacob Trueman

This is a pretty daft statement. The stats are pretty much the only constant in our game and you can't 'make them read whatever you wish', you can interprept them differently (which I think is probably what you mean?) but the numbers themselves don't lie. There are certain things you can't easily q...

Yes you can make them whatever you wish, simple as that.
So we lost the last GF? I guess you *can* make the final score whatever you like.

Re: Not long to wait now.

Now it is Sir Geoffrey it surely cannot be long before its Sir Kev??? :P What do you think Morley? Surely long overdue?? Can't see anyone in RL ever getting a knighthood. Personally, my heroes are the ones who refused honours, like LS Lowry. Coincidentally, Ian, I once met "Sir" Geoffrey ...
