To be honest I dont think ML is squeaky clean when it comes to giving the correct attendance. I remember some very dubious figures being given out in the CP days.

The salary cap only makes sense in a franchised system with no promotion/relegation. The impact of relegation on a clubs finances in the current climate is so disastrous that it totally outweighs the benefit of the cap.
