Re: Referee for Thursday
They’ll be warming Liam Moores ‘I’m definitely not a bias Wiganer’ show up, ready for Good Friday. Saints favourite referee and it’s little wonder. We should just do what they do every time they get Kendall and he doesn’t fall for their gamesmanship and complain. He didn’t get a Saints game for mont...

Re: Team for thursday
Me too & Havard, French,Field & Smith IMO 😊🥴 Smith has been getting some stick recently as well. He’s top alongside George Williams in terms of assists and looks lacking in creative support at times from his halfback partner and hooker. I think he’s doing fine given the circumstances. Havar...

Re: Team for thursday
I'm a bit baffled as to why Ethan Havard should want to be 'more aggressive,' When forwards do this it's quite often cartoon posturing to make up for lack of quality. Would you like Faz to start start shouting and screaming for example? It wouldn't make him a better player. Havard goes about his wo...

Re: Team for thursday
I never particularly like when people write "fans" as if the posters that have differing opinions aren't. As a fan who stood on Central Park in the 70s for second division rugby and now living in Cheshire and still going to games live I'd say I'm a FAN . I'm sorry that perhaps my opinion ...

Re: Team for thursday
I think it’s extremely harsh to argue that someone is watching the wrong sport when they make the perfectly reasonable observation that Havard seems less hot headed (in a good way) than Smithies. I think it’s perfectly reasonable if somebody believes Havards temperament is something Smithies (or an...

Re: Team for thursday
When Smithies came into the team, he was terrific and looked like the answer to what would happen when SOL retired. Then, he had a bad season when the opposition worked out he could be wound up and had no control over his temper and his career stalled. He then seemed to have mostly got his temper u...

Re: Team for thursday
254 tackles and 5 penalties, less than 1 every 50 tackles he makes. Compare that with Cooper 117 tackles and 6 penalties or Lees 174 tackles and 5 penalties. It is a fallacy that he gives away too many penalties. I am willing to have a 10p bet that, as a percentage of tackles made, he is at the low...

Re: Team for thursday
Smithies has given away more penalties this season (5) than in the whole of 2022 (4), so that is a concern but he’s comfortably in our best 13. We really do under value players like him in this country. Saints fans and ex players have managed to blow up the billing Morgan Knowles gets but Smithies m...

Re: Oliver gildart
I think the stats back up what we see with our eyes. One is a workhorse and a good offloader and the other is more of a classical centre. They’re both settling nicely IMO.
