Re: Gelling out, Thornley in.
<r><QUOTE author="God"><s>[quote="God"]</s>The power of suggestion is just that... powerfull. HC may not have directly said Carmont is a poor player however suggesting that his skill level comes into question because of x and y is just as bad imo and is a very politician esque statement to make, thi...

Re: V Wakey.
<t>I know posters on here have distinct opinions about Sky & their coverage (personally, the only reason we have Sky at all is to watch RL) but the BBC bit on Josh sums up their view on RL, as with all sports. It has to be personality-driven with the focus on players off the field. Nice to see J...

Re: V Wakey.
It's what makes Sam such a special player and it will put a doubt in Mathers' mind when he plays against him next time and maybe in other full-backs now they've seen it. That moment of hesitation might just cause a winning try to be scored in the future.

Re: Gelling out, Thornley in.
<t>To be really ruthless - any time a winger is bundled into touch - it's his fault. Good wingers get a ball near the line and if there's no clear road down that line will transfer their weight to the inside foot and look to dip the shoulder, so if they do get tackled - they will stay in the field o...

Re: Gelling out, Thornley in.
<t>Obviously, I've not seen enough of Thornley to know if he's the real deal but he looked convincing against Wakefield for a first match back.<br/> Gelling's big plus is his strength near the line - he's likely to score if he gets any chance to force the ball down. <br/> The big minus seems to be t...

Re: V Wakey.
<t>I know. If only Sam would cut out those runs that go the length of the field, stop joining the line to arrow through defences, cease beating countless players by running laterally and then changing pace, avoid scoring solo tries and providing tries for others and just concentrate on simple passes...

More likely (hopefully) to be a calf muscle which makes a "pop" (speaks from personal experience) which normally means 3 weeks.
Now can we stop these ludicrous mid-season matches please.

Just a thought. With Sam at 6 and Murphy at full-back - wouldn't that give the opposition more worries about where breaks are coming from?

Re: Hock
Surely the fact that John Wilkin is captain should be a perfectly good reason to pull out.
