Re: Show me the money!

<t>We have signed may players who have not been superstars and they have turned out to be excellent buys. Two good examples are Sam Panapa and Ged Byrne. <br/> <br/> We need to understand that IL and JL are doing their best with regard to recruitment. I for one am not unhappy that we are choosing to...

Re: Show me the money!

<t>Let's not forget that it is only the top 25 best paid players that count towards the salary cap and therefore by increasing the pay of our youngsters has no bearing whatsoever.<br/> <br/> What is more disappointing is the fact that we have known that three well paid first teamers would be leaving...

Re: IL off to Aus!

Yes, but only for next season. I am sure that IL is playing with the money that will become available in 2010 when Bailey, Carmont, Phelps, Smith, Lulu are off-contract!

Re: Lee Smith

Agreed Dave, but he kept calm under pressure and put in a good kick down field. It was the defining moment of the game.

Re: Lee Smith

<t>I'm with you pieater-alex. What a great performance by Smith last night. The lad's aggressive, sharp, smart, tough, young and a winner. In the cauldron of Old Trafford, playing against the 'best team that has ever lived' (according to Stevo - he's obviously had too many bangs on the head,)in drea...

Re: Ganson Bottles it again?

<t>The issue goes beyond the decisions Ganson made last night - it appears that we are playing to different rules each week, either that or referees are interpreting them differently!<br/> <br/> Young McIlorium received a straight red card for a tackle on Gardner, I have no problem with that as it w...

Re: Rumour Not True!!!

<t>Let's be realistic, we have a finite amount of money available under the salary cap - probably not enough to secure Lockear and deffinitely not enough to sign a quality prop and winger as well as a world class No6. IL and JL need to make some tough decisions!<br/> <br/> With the amount of money t...

Re: big name signings?

Lindsay and Whelan nearly signed Cunnigham a few years ago but he decided to stay with Stains - they upped his money!

Leon Pryce also agreed to join Wigan, but eventually decided against it as the club insisted that he relocate to Wigan. That was before he signed for Stains!!!

Re: james webster

No chance Wigan wont be signing a half-back and by the way Webster is a scrum half.
