Re: Squad numbers

And why do you think that is? Massive intellect, innate superiority.....no, thought not. Its because its the same number as last season isn't it?

Re: Squad numbers

When is the Warriors website going to be brought up-to-date with the new squad numbers? Its updated with news etc relatively often, so how hard can it be? Having made the big announcement, eventually, I would have thought it would be updated at the same time. Is the newly numbered kit ready for sale...

Re: Ryan Hampshire

Well done Rocky. Glad he's re-signed. It seems Peet realises his worth. I hope they're paying him reasonably.

Re: MATT PEET intends to build his Wigan team around leading player

I hope the lad can handle the weight of expectation Peet's just loaded him with. He's still just a relative youngster. He's an excellent player, admittedly, but does he need a few more years to develop the resilience and maturity this role will need? And hasn't Peet just painted a target on his back?

Re: Squad numbers

Looks like we have to wait a little longer for the free-running, ball playing, multi-skilled linkman at No 13. Still, if he can but in 40 to 50 tackles a game like young Morgan and carry on making the yards he was making towards the end of last season, I suppose he'll do.

Re: Liam Byrne

I think I remember reading that he was told by Shaun Wane to go down on contact when taking the ball up and not try for the extra metres post contact. Was this because he was hurt and/or to minimise the risk of losing possession, I don't know. Either way, its not exactly a confidence builder. Please...

Re: Liam Byrne

Having seen the sort of player he was, it was obvious something was wrong. At the time I had it down to a young lad playing too much rugby too soon, which, it seemed to me he was, and needing a rest or a spell of rehab. I posted to that effect at the time. Obviously I couldn't know whether he was in...

Re: Rugby League Heroes: Kelvin Skerrett (Part One)

Interesting comment from Kelvin that the real hard men were the ones who could take, not just give, it. True indeed. Lots of examples, but a good 'un, GB v Aus, of course; I don't think Gorden Tallis could quite believe his eyes when Terry O'Connor survived his flurry of punches and then got a few b...

Re: Liam Byrne

Glad to hear you're better, Josie; your informed, down to earth 'reasonableness' would be sorely missed. Interesting comments on young Liam's character. He's pretty much as I thought. I supported him unreservedly when he was taking typical so-called-fans uninformed criticism last season. Another Lia...
