Re: MATT PEET intends to build his Wigan team around leading player
With Matty Peet intending to build his team around Harry Smith then the inevitable conclusion to me is that Harry will replace Liam Farrell as club captain in time.

Re: Contact Above the Armpit
Heard or read that only one insurance company will insure us.
If they back out then there's no game!
Perhaps this is why we've brought in so many forwards. With them playing reduced games/minutes we will obviously need more bodies to take us forward taking into account injuries and suspensions.

Re: Liam Byrne
Giving Liam the 10 shirt won't do his confidence any harm.
He was playing well when his season came to an abrupt end.
Hopefully he can start next season as he ended his last!

Re: Liam Byrne
Josie, I started the thread as I simply didn't know what the situation was/is with Liam.
Glad to hear he's back in training and he'll be with us next season.
He's one of the players the club could build a squad around over the next ten years.

Liam Byrne
According to the club's first team list on their site Liam was out of contract end of 2023.
Does anyone know of a new deal for him as he seems an integral part of Wigan's future?
It could well be that he signed a deal and everyone knows about it but me, so can someone enlighten me please?

Re: New Contract for Harry Smith
A great piece of Business for the club and I'm sure for Harry.
No one underestimates how valuable he is to the squad's success.
With Harry re-signed it looks like one heck of a squad we have for next season and the future.

Re: Ian Lenagan
A big thank you to Ian Lenagan from me for the success he brought to the club. Just prior to him taking over we lost a C Cup semi to Catalans at Warrington and it was a case of where do the club go from here. Maurice and DW seemed like they had run out of ideas and their race had been run. Mo gave D...
