I thought that if the ball was on an arm that was touching the ground then it was a try.
Have the rules changed or have I been wrong all my life? (and I have scored a few like that too, so it can't just have been me!!)

Re: How can we improve for next year?
I've often thought about the merits of playing 6 props in the forward pack.
Obviously some would have to do more minutes than others, but in principle I think it would give a significant advantage if implemented correctly.

Re: Derby Day!
Since when has Good Friday not mattered? Ok it’s not a cup final, but it’s far more than just another league game. If we have extra gears to go up, we should have been using them on Friday. We need to celebrate when we play well but not be afraid to call out poor performances. Friday had too many p...

Re: Consistency of officiating
The game is definitely changing and not for the better. Games hinge on decisions to send players off , for what are accidental tackles that hit the head of the opposition player, who as Percival, go into the tackle lower than normal. This will always happen, even if they do bring in the tackle to b...

Re: Derby Day!
The ref was bad but didn't lose us the game. Our discipline was shocking. Yes, some of the decisions looked harsh, but unfortunately that is the game in 2024. Learn to play within the rules or lose games. Our attack looked blunt (again). Our interchange strategy looked "odd" to say the lea...

Re: New Deal for Jake Wardle
Let's not pretend that this means he will be here for 5 years.
However, still good news and a very good centre imo. Must be one of the first names on the teamsheet.

Re: Wigan Squad for Salford
We don't don't really deserve that IMO, but shows were a champion side when we pull one out of the bag in the last five minutes. Helped by Salfords brain explosions I must say. On the French performance, Id rather have a player that wasn't playing at his best but his last 5 minutes won us the game,...

That is an absolute joke of a decision and bordering on a human rights one at that.

Re: Smiths kicking
I'm not an RL coach, so haven't done the analysis, but I would have thought that a "high hanging" kick vs one that "finds space", each have their own pro's and con's. Theoretically is it better to kick a ball extremely high, have a chasing pack all running in unison potentially c...
